Bedford Town Supervisor Releases Year-End Report
The town adopted a budget of $27.33 million for 2015, which represents a tax increase of 1.67 percent.

The Town of Bedford is in solid fiscal shape as it heads into 2015, according to Town Supervisor Chris Burdick, who recently released his year-end report.
Burdick, who has just completed his first year in the job, posted the six-page report on the town’s website, highlighting the fact that the town was well under the state mandated tax increase cap of 2.25 percent for the upcoming year. The town adopted a budget of $27.33 million for 2015, which represents a tax increase of 1.67 percent, which is below the tax cap.
“The [town] Budget meets our objectives: maintain or improve existing service levels; stay within the property tax cap; maintain healthy fund balances; and keep our triple AAA bond rating,” Burdick wrote.
