Katonah Library’s One-Week-Only “Pop-Up Store:” Treasures On-the-Cheap for Book, Music, and Media Lovers of All Ages

Katonah Village Library’s Fall Book Sale takes place Saturday, October 24th thru Saturday, October 31st. The library is located at 26 Bedford Road in Katonah.

Katonah, N.Y., October 9, 2015 -- Katonah Village Library’s Book Sale will feature a large, well-organized and affordably-priced selection of books from all genres, including specially selected “staff picks” and books of local interest. Going well beyond the printed word, the Sale’s wares include audiobooks, DVDs, sheet music, games and puzzles, and music CDs. And there’s good news for audiophile traditionalists: “We’ve had so many shoppers ask us in the past, ‘Do you have vinyl records?,’” said Book Sale Coordinator, Mary Hoholick. “Well, this year we do!”

Homemade treats and seasonal beverages will be available for purchase during the event’s opening weekend to fortify and refresh early shoppers. Despite the considerable time and sweat equity from many Library volunteers to make the Book Sale a reality, they feel the result is well worth it. Remarked Hoholick, “People tell us it looks wonderful -- like an old-fashioned independent bookstore.”

Free “Preview” sale for all Katonah Library and KVIS members (please bring your library cards) and Katonah Library donors. Others welcome for a $25 entrance fee.
