New Katonah Fitness Studio Offers Comprehensive Workout [VIDEO]

Proprietor enjoys running the business from the 'heart of the community.'

Kim Holzmann-Krolick didn't dislike her former career in international taxes, but she loves her current one: Owning and operating a fitness studio on Katonah Avenue.

CoreLab, which opened about a month ago, offers an exercise routine that incorporates circuit-training, pilates and strength-training, Holzmann-Krolick said. Known as the Lagree Fitness workout, it offers cardio and it helps tone, with no strain on the joints.

Holzmann-Krolick, a Katonah resident and Miami native who spent time living in London, fell in love with the model while abroad. She says it's low-impact and intense at the same time.

"I just got stronger, more flexible," she said, adding that she became devoted after seeing "tremendous personal results."

The work that produces those results happens on the Megaformer, a large machine that features cables, padding and springs. Settings are adjusted depending on the user's experience, as classes are open to all levels.

"Everything can be modified," Holzmann-Krolick told Patch.

She was adjusting many of the machines during a recent class at the studio. It was nearly full. Despite a quiet opening, the response from local folks has been great, Holzmann-Krolick said.

"It's nice to be in the heart of the community," she said.

CoreLab is located at 189 Katonah Avenue.
