Police: Man Beats Co-worker With Clipboard

A White Plains man was arrested after allegedly beating a co-worker at on Bedford Road.

Police said Rafael Paramo, 40, got into an argument with another employee on July 13 at the Bedford Hills landscaping business. The victim suffered a laceration, redness and swelling on his nose.

Paramo was charged with second degree assault and use of a dangerous instrument. He was release without bail pending a court appearance.

Car accident closed Girdle Ridge Road

Police responded to a one-car accident on Monday night at Girdle Ridge Road and Route 22. The driver, a 17-year old male from Katonah, said he was distracted when he drove off the roadway. His passenger, a 17-year-old female, suffered a neck injury and was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Katonah youth in possession of fake license

Bedford police stoppped a 19-year-old male from Katonah for allegedly driving 57 miles per hour in a 40 mph zone on Katonah Avenue. When the driver produced his license, police noted that he had a second, forged, New Jersey license in his wallet. The youth was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument and speeding. He was released without bail pending a return to town court. 

Jewelry theft reported

Clinton Road residents reported that jewelry had been taken from their home sometime between May 28 and July 13, according to police.

Over $9,000 in jewelry was reported stolen, along with silver napkin rings valued at $2,200. The case is being investigated.
