Ridgefield Man Charged with DWI in New York
He was stopped at a police checkpoint on Route 35.
At 9 p.m. Dec. 19 the New York State Police conducted a DWI sobriety checkpoint on Route 35 in Somers which yielded the following arrests:
Steven Smart, 42, resident of Ridgefield, CT—Misdemeanor DWI Arrest—refused chemical test. He is due in Somers town court Jan. 12.
Carlos Ramirez, 42,, resident of Katonah, NY—Misdemeanor DWI Arrest—had a BAC. of .20 percent. He is due to appear in Somers town court on Jan. 12.
