Martin Avenue Placed on Lockdown Tuesday
"A North Bellmore parent evidently made a threat against me and the deputy superintendent to the principal of the school her child attends which is in another district," Testa said. "While we have no reason to believe that the parent was serious about the threat, we immediately put in place the procedures established in our Emergency Action Plan."

She added that the police were notified and followed up on the situation. No one was being admitted into the building without identification and students remained in the building for the day.
Superintendent Arnold Goldstein said that students were mostly unaware of the situation, due to the fact that inclement weather would have kept them inside anyway. Busing was no affected either.
