Car Fire Breaks Out On Southern State
Firefighters battled the blaze on Thursday morning. Watch a video from the scene below.

BAY SHORE, NY - Firefighters battled a car fire on the Southern State Parkway on Thursday morning.
The Brentwood Fire Department received a call for the fire at 7:35 a.m. on the westbound Southern State Parkway half a mile east of the Fifth Avenue exit, according to Chief Michael Derbyshire.
Upon arrival the car was found fully involved on the shoulder of the road.

The fire was placed under control by 7:50 a.m.
The Brentwood Fire Department responded with 2 engines and 10 firefighters.

No injuries were reported.
