People are already getting excited about the 2014 Super Bowl. The event will be hosted by both New York and New Jersey next year. And it's the first time that the Super Bowl will be held in the New York-New Jersey region. To give you a preview of our area's first Super Bowl, just head over to the Bronxville Library on January 17 at 7 p.m. Senior Vice President of Philanthropy and Community Relations for the 2014 Super Bowl Rich Petriccione will breakdown how the massive event will take place.
The "Super Bowl breakdown" is sponsored by the Bronxville Adult School. The event will be held in the library's Yeager Room. Petriccione says he's eager to talk about next year's event.
“This is a Super Bowl of firsts. The first time two states are hosting, the first time two teams are hosting, the first outdoor cold weather game and, believe it or not, the first time it has been played in the New York-New Jersey region," said Petriccione.
During his talk, Petriccione will tell us exactly what will occur, leading up to the big game on February 2nd. In addition, he will present an analysis of the impact of the Super Bowl here and what goes on behind the scenes.
“This should be the most watched televised event in the history of broadcasting. All eyes will be on how our region handles it," said Petriccione.
Petriccione will also talk about how people can get involved in Super Bowl XLVIII.
“The game takes three-and-a-half hours and very few of us will be there, but the week is filled with many experiences and the hope is that we all will feel as if we played a part," said Petriccione.
