Eastchester Burglary Bust

An off-duty, Eastchester cop noticed men running from an Eastchester home, according to authorities.

Eastchester Burglary Bust

Police arrested three suspects wanted by Eastchester Police in connection with the  burglary a home.

An off-duty, Eastchester cop noticed the suspects fleeing the Eastchester home in a car on Friday night, according to Scarsdale Police.

On Friday, Feb. 22, at 7:00 p.m., Eastchester Police issued an alert for the suspects. Investigators also issued a broadcast alert along with a description of the getaway car.

"Shortly after the alert was broadcast, two Scarsdale Police Officers who were directing traffic on a foot post in the vicinity of the Popham Road bridge observed the vehicle and immediately notified Scarsdale Headquarters," Scarsdale Police Chief John Brogan said. "As the Officers on the traffic post returned to their vehicle to investigate the sighting, additional Scarsdale officers in the field responded to the area and stopped the suspect vehicle on Garth Road near Harney Road in Eastchester."

Scarsdale Police held the three suspects, Anderson Moncada, 24, Juan Hernandez-Moncada, 29, and Fabian Idarraga, 29, at the scene and turned them over to Eastchester Police. EPD charged the three men, who live in New York City, with burglary.

Now, Scarsdale Police is working with the Eastchester Police "to determine if the three suspects who were arrested are responsible for any criminal activity within Scarsdale."
