Woman Found Dead On Brighton Beach, Police Say

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK -- A dead woman was found lying on Brighton Beach early Friday morning, police said.

NYPD officers found the fully-clothed woman lying in the sand near Brighton 15th Street and Brightwater Avenue at about 3:20 a.m., police said.

Emergency responders pronounced the woman dead at the scene and the Medical Examiner has yet to determine the cause, said police.

The woman's body showed no obvious signs of trauma and the investigation remains ongoing, according to police.
