World's Most Handsome Horse, 'Frederik The Great,' Will Perform in Central Park
The purebred Friesian stallion with more than 48,000 Facebook likes will perform during September's Rolex Central Park Horse Show.

CENTRAL PARK, NY — The Rolex Central Park Horse Show's lineup will feature a major stud this year. Frederik the Great, a purebred Friesian stallion — the "world's most handsome horse" — will perform during an equestrian show at Central Park's Wollman Rink in September.
The majestically maned equine is officially Internet famous. The horse has racked up more than 48,000 likes on his Facebook page and 14 million views on his YouTube channel, where fans can watch the Fabio-esque stallion trot around with melodramatic background music.
Damn, Frederik really knows how to strut his stuff. By the way, whoever makes these videos should experiment with some nice, slow jazz in the background — to show off Frederik's softer side.

"Frederik has taken the world by storm and helped to shine an international spotlight on the equestrian world, allowing an unprecedented audience to appreciate these Friesian horses,” Mark Bellissimo, CEO of International Equestrian Group, LLC (IEG) and Founder of Rolex Central Park Horse Show, said Monday in a press release. “The Rolex Central Park Horse Show will bring Frederik to New York City to provide a special opportunity to showcase his majesty and beauty, giving New Yorkers and visitors from all over the globe a first-hand experience of this special horse.”
Frederik was born 15 years ago in the Netherlands, the homeland of the Freisian horse breed, but now lives in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas with owner Stacy Nazario, according to the press release.

The show is one of equestrian's biggest annual events, featuring a variety of different horse breeds competing in different disciplines over five days. Some of this year's attractions include Arabians, Show Jumping, Dressage, Hunters and more, according to the press release.
