Temple Beth David in Commack is starting a program for children with special needs and their families, starting next month,

The program, named “Aliyah: Rising Stars plays on the hebrew word which means rising up.

All children are welcome to join in the educational and experiential environment of the synagogue and our Religious School. Both current temple members and non-members in the community are invited to join.

Children with varied educational, social, physical and developmental needs, for whom a typical Religious School classroom may not be appropriate are welcome to attend.

The first program will be held on March 17 from noon until 1 p.m.

The event is a Passover experience for Children with Special Needs and their Families.  The day will include a special musical and experiential Passover Seder and a holiday craft. All are welcome to participate in their own way.
