Crime Report: Alleged Handyman Arrested For Peddling Services

 

Suffolk County Police Department reported the following arrests and incidents relating to Commack: 

Victoria Dixonhorne, 22, of New York City, was arrested Aug. 29 in Commack and charged with grand larceny in the third degree. Police said Dixonhorne used an ATM at Chase Bank to withdraw more than $1,000 from another person's account. 

Clayton Battice, 29, from Brooklyn, was arrested Aug. 28 in Commack and charged with peddling/solicitation. Battice was allegedly approaching residents near the intersection of Wiltshire Drive and Dwight Court, asking if they had any work as a handyman her could perform for monetary compensation. Police were called to the scene and found Battice had no licenses or certification to perform such work, and he was arrested. 

Donna Jordan, 57, of Commack, was arrested Aug. 31 and charged with driving while intoxicated - fird offense. Police said Jordan was driving a 2009 Mercedes-Benz SLK300 gray convertible eastbound on Beverly Road in Huntington Station at approximately 12:03 a.m. when she was noticed for going faster than the speed limit. When she was pulled over, Jordan allegedly admitted she was drinking earlier than evening, according to police reports, and failed a field sobriety test.
