Photos: Commack Baseball Takes Down Pat Med

Commack baseball beats Patchogue, 4-0, Wednesday to advance in the Suffolk Class AA championship's loser bracket.

The Commack Cougars are fighting hard to make sure to keep their hopes of Suffolk County championship alive.

The Commack varsity baseball team took down No. 7-ranked Patchogue Medford, 4-0, on Wednesday afternoon to advance in the loser's bracket of the Suffolk County Class AA Championship.

Pitcher Matt Fick threw a three-hit, four-strikeout game on Wednesday afternoon, denying Patchogue Medford of any chance of catching up after the Cougars took a four-run lead in the fourth inning.

Commack will travel to take on the No. 4-ranked Smithtown East team Friday at 4 p.m., who lost to the No.1-ranked Connetquot on Wednesday.
