25-Year-Old Man Hit by Car on Deer Park Avenue, 78-Year-Old Driver Arrested
BREAKING: A 78-year-old woman fled the scene after striking the man Friday night, but police quickly located her, police said.

DEER PARK, NY – A 25-year-old man was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Deer Park Friday night, Suffolk Police said.
The man was standing on the center median on Deer Park Avenue, near Lake Avenue, when he was struck by a car around 7:25 p.m., police said. He was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip with non-life threatening injuries.
Witnesses gave police a description of the car that left the scene and police located the 78-year-old female driver, police said. She was arrested and issued a field appearance ticket.
