Night at the Cosmos
The Lindenhurst Special Education Parent Teachers Association (SEPTA) will team up with the New York Cosmos for a special night to help raise funds for special needs children in Lindenhurst. The event will take place Oct. 20 at 4 p.m. at the home of the North American Soccer League-affiliated Cosmos, Shaurt Stadium at Hofstra University in Uniondale.
Halloween Family Fun
The Lindenhurst Halloween Family Fun Day is set for Saturday, October 19, from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. The annual event - which is co-sponsored by the Village of Lindenhurst, the Lindenhurst Rotary Club and the Lindenhurst Historical Society - will take place at a new location this year: Village Park at Feller's Pond, located at the intersection of Hartford Street and Irmisch Avenue.WEST ISLIP

The Babylon Panthers will march down Deer Park Avenue in a parade heading to the school’s football field as they celebrate their Homecoming. The 5-0 Panthers will take on the Mt. Sinai Mustangs at 2 p.m. Saturday.
The annual closing of Deer Park Avenue means great food, good times and a fun day in the village. Free admission, live entertainment and more starting at 10 a.m. Saturday.

The 22nd annual race helps benefit the MPS Society as Babylon’s best runners and walkers hit the 3.1 mile course around the village starting at 9:30 a.m.
