Part of a dock at the Montauk Marina was damaged after a boat caught on fire on Saturday afternoon, according to multiple reports.
The Montauk Fire Department responded after the 35-foot center console boat caught on fire at about 1:15 p.m. at the marina located on West Lake Drive, and put out the fire in less than an hour, according to 27east.
Due to the boat’s fiberglass material, the fire spread quickly, destroying the boat and damaging an estimated 25 feet of dock, according to The East Hampton Star.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.
