East Hampton Town police are investigating the death of a 67-year-old East Hampton woman, who was found outside her home covered in snow — the second person discovered dead outside after the snow storm this week.
Police said Catherine Dransfield, who lives with her elderly mother at 669 Hands Creek Road, was found by a home health aide at 10:50 a.m. on Thursday.
Police said her body was covered by snow outside the home near the garage.
At this time, police said the there does not seem to be any foul play involved, but they are investigating further.
On Wednesday, police were called to 1 Locust Drive in Springs were they found the body of Ralph E. Batalla, 84, outside the front door of his home. Police have since reported that Batalla suffered a medial event during the storm that brought about eight inches to the area and freezing conditions.
