U.S. v. Germany: Best Places to Watch the Game

All eyes will be watching Thursday's noon World Cup matchup, when the U.S. takes on Germany. We've provided a roundup of some of the best spots in town to watch the game. And just a heads up: if you're watching the game at a local sports bar, you might want to sneak out for lunch a little early, as places might reach max capacity before game time.

Here are just some of our top picks:

Rowdy Hall

Catch the games outdoors in the courtyard on the 55-inch TV. Rowdy Hall (10 Main St. in the Parrish Mews, East Hampton, (631) 324-8555) is celebrating the 2014 FIFA World Cup with several drink specials and giveaways. Rowdy Hall is serving all draughts in commemorative World Cup 16 oz. cups for $6, refills for $5. Caipirinhas will be $8 in the special cup, and $7 for a refill. There will be a raffle for a 55” LED TV where only 50 tickets will be available for $20 each. The winner will be drawn after the finals on July 13th. There will also be a World Cup Trivia Contest where entrants who answer the questionnaire correctly will be entered to win an official match ball of the 2014 World Cup (The Brazuca).

Townline BBQ

Townline BBQ (3593 Townline Road, Sagaponack, NY, (631) 537-2271, www.townlinebbq.com) will be celebrating the 2014 FIFA World Cup with beverage specials. The restaurant will be serving all draughts in commemorative World Cup 16 oz. cups for $6 and refills for $5. Avua Cachaca Caipirinhas or current cocktail on tap will be $8 in this special cup, and $7 for a refill. Catch the games on 4 HD TVs in the bar.

Indian Wells

Indian Wells Tavern (117 Main Street, Amagansett, (631) 267-0400, www.indianwellstavern.com) will be celebrating the 2014 World Cup by offering $5 pints of Montauk Brewing Company Driftwood Ale at the bar during all games, taking place from Thursday, June 12 – Sunday, July 13. Catch the game on 5 large screen HD TVs over the Bar.
