Nikola Ragusa, MD has joined Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island (OCLI) as an associate. He is a board certified ophthalmologist and fellowship trained glaucoma specialist. A resident of Glen Oaks, Queens, Dr. Ragusa will be working in OCLI’s Rockville Centre, Valley Stream, Plainview and Massapequa offices.

Dr. Ragusa graduated from the renowned BS/MD program at The Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education and S.U.N.Y Health Center at Brooklyn with top honors Alpha Omega Alpha. He completed his Ophthalmology residency at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Lastly, he went on to complete a clinical and surgical fellowship in glaucoma at the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary.
Dr. Ragusa has presented research and given talks nationally and internationally. His research interests include improving glaucoma medication adherence, pseudoexfoliation, and pigment dispersion syndromes.
Dr. Ragusa is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the New York State Ophthalmological Society, and the New York Glaucoma Society. He speaks fluent Croatian, Serbian, Bosnian, and is competent in Spanish.
