'The Americans' Filming in East Meadow

FX television show filming Monday in Eisenhower Park and Westbury.

A television film shoot will affect traffic in and around East Meadow Monday, according to Nassau County officials.

The FX television series, " The Americans," featuring Keri Russell will be filming in two locations.

Corporate Drive behind the Source Mall in Westbury will be closed from 7 to 11 a.m.

"We are going to be shutting down Corporate at Zeckendorf for about 500 feet," County Spokesperson Brian Nevin confirmed.

At around 5 p.m., the film crew will be in Eisenhower Park.

"They have received permission to do a stunt in the park and we will be closing Northbound traffic at Hempstead Turnpike while they do it," Nevin said.

Film crews are also putting a fake tree in along Park Boulevard. The scene calls for a car to crash into a tree.

The 1980s Cold War drama features Soviet KGB officers have been trained to impersonate American citizens.

"The Americans" premieres on Jan. 30 at 10 p.m. on FX.
