Woman Struck, Killed by Car in Amityville
Police say the 52-year-old was hit after she "stepped into the roadway," Tuesday morning.

A 52-year-old Massapequa woman died after she was hit by a car in Amityville Tuesday morning, police said.
Angela DeLeone was walking south on Route 110, south of West Smith Street, when she police say she “stepped into the roadway” at 6:55 a.m. and was struck by a 2013 Hyundai Sonata.
DeLeone was transported to Saint Joseph Hospital in Bethpage, where she was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Hyundai, a 68-year-old Amityville woman, was not injured. No criminal charges have been filed.
The investigation is continuing and detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact the First Squad at 631-852-8152.
