There was no competition in village election.

UPDATE: Incumbent Trustees Win in Cedarhurst

Update: Ronald Lanzilotta Sr. and Myrna Zisman received 243 and 224 votes, respectively, and have earned new terms.

Original story:

Two Village of Cedarhurst trustees are unopposed in their bids for reelection on Tuesday.

Ronald Lanzilotta Sr. and Myrna Zisman are seeking their third and second terms, respectively. Polls will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at .

Lanzilotta was appointed as a trustee in 2001 to finish an unexpired term. He had served on the village’s board of zoning appeals for 14 years before that. Lanzilotta acted as the village’s liaison to the county as Nassau took over both Cedarhurst and Lawrence’s plants.

Zisman became the first woman to ever serve as a trustee in Cedarhurst when she was appointed to fill an unexpired term in 2006. She also served on the zoning appeals board for six months. Zisman represents Cedarhurst at meetings of the Town-Village Aircraft Safety and Noise Abatement Committee.

“The village is pretty perfect and we have to continue to keep it that way,” she told the Herald.
