FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — The century-old Women's Club of Forest Hills will be the honoree at the non-profit Queens Community House's "Local Champions" reception Tuesday.
Queens Community House, a social service organization originally known as Forest Hills Community House, will pay tribute to the 108-year-old women's organization during their annual spring fundraiser on April 30. The event celebrates groups and individuals dedicated to bettering the Queens community.
"We didn't even know that they gave these gifts out, so when we found out, of course, we were tickled," Louise Naples, president of the Women's Club of Forest Hills, told Patch.
