A two-vehicle accident early Wednesday morning sent a 24-year-old Garden City resident to the hospital after her vehicle collided with another on New Hyde Park Road, according to police commissioner Kenneth Jackson.

According to police, a 55-year-old Lynbrook man was traveling north on New Hyde Park Road while the female Garden City resident was traveling east on Cambridge Avenue, making a left onto New Hyde Park Road, when the collision occurred.

The village resident was transported to Winthrop-University Hospital with neck pain while the 55-year-old man was cited for aggravated unlicensed operation because of an administrated driving license suspension, police said.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
