Ace Hardware Raises $1.1K for Glen Cove Fire Department

Fifty smoke detectors were also distributed to families in need.

Ace Hardware held a fundraiser on the last weekend of October that helped raise $1,110 for the Glen Cove Volunteer Fire Department.

Residents were able to meet with fire department personnel and buy a ticket to win a Weber Grill for a $5 donation. Angelo Costantino was the lucky winner of the Weber Grill.

“We extend our appreciation to Ace Hardware for taking the initiative to support Glen Cove Volunteer Fire Department," Chief Phil Grella said in a press release. “Fire safety is a critical issue and being vigilant in changing the batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and updating your equipment can save lives.”
