How Glen Cove Voted in Tuesday's Budget, Board Election

Glen Cove voters approved a $79 million budget on Tuesday for the 2014-15 school year.

In addition, voters elected two candidates – Barrie Dratch as well as Maureen Pappachristou – for seats on the the Glen Cove School District's Board of Education.

Here is a breakdown of how residents voted at the four polling locations: Finley Middle School on Forest Avenue, Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club on Glen Cove Avenue, Landing School on McLoughlin Street, and Connolly School on Ridge Drive.   

Landing had 158 yes votes, 71 no votes, 126 votes for Dratch and 164 votes for Pappachristou. 

Connolly had 134 yes votes, 69 no votes, 105 votes for Dratch, 136 for Pappachristou.

B&G had 92 yes votes, 31 no votes, 76 votes for Dratch, 100 for Pappachristou.

Finley had 356 yes votes, 159 no votes, 308 votes for Dratch and 386 for Pappachristou.

In total, there were 740 yes votes, 330 no votes, 615 votes for Dratch and 786 votes for Pappachristou.
