Menorah lighting services are scheduled around the Town of Huntington over the next several days, part of the eight-day Jewish holiday of Hannukah commemorating the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem.

Wednesday, Nov. 27
Northport Village will put up a menorah at the foot of Main Street, 6:35 p.m.
Friday, Nov. 29
Temple Beth El, Huntington, 7 p.m. Family Hannukah Shabbat. Bring menorahs and candles.
Monday, Dec. 2
Huntington Town Hall, 5 p.m.
Dix Hills Jewish Center, 6:30 p.m., Sixth Night Out celebration of Hannukah.
East Northport Jewish Center, 6:45 p.m. Group lighting, with children and clergy of the East Northport Jewish Center. The temple's rabbi and cantor will provide blessings and songs to celebrate the Festival of Lights. Chocolate gelt will be handed out to attendees.
Friday, Dec. 6
Temple Beth Torah, Melville, 6:30 p.m. Shabbat service for families of any age; includes a performance by a teen band.
