Car Fire Snarls Traffic On FDR Drive Monday Morning
Drivers were delayed during Monday's morning commute after a car fire broke out on FDR drive, officials said.

HARLEM, NEW YORK — A car fire that broke out on FDR Drive on Monday caused delays during the morning commute.
The fire, which happened in the northbound lanes, started near East 96th Street, FDNY officials said. The lanes were shut down and crews were still on scene around 8:20 a.m.
The blaze caused traffic delays on the freeway up towards 116th Street, according to the city's emergency management team. Officials advised drivers to consider alternate routes.

FDNY officials said they received the call around 7:40 a.m. and were beginning to control the fire just before 8:30 a.m., but were still on scene.
No injuries were reported.
