Crime Report: Drunk Drivers Caught Speeding, Running Red Lights

Crime Report: Drunk Drivers Caught Speeding, Running Red Lights

The Suffolk County Police Department reported these arrests and incidents:

Joseph Greatsinger, 26, of Bayport, was arrested Nov. 17 and charged with one misdemeanor count of driving while intoxicated - first offense. Police said Greatsinger was driving a 2004 gray Dodge pick-up on Middle Country Road/Route 25 in Nesconset when he swerved out of his lane onto the shoulder of the road. Greatsinger was pulled over by police who found he was intoxicated. 

Morall Jones, 38, of West Sayville, was arrested Nov. 17 and on charges of one misdemeanor count of driving while intoxicated - first offense. Jones was driving a 2001 Chrysler van on the wrong side of Wheeler Road at Veterans Highway in Hauppauge. She failed to stop at a steady red traffic light, according to police, and upon being pulled over was determined to be intoxicated through field sobriety tests. 

Melvin Harris, 29, of East Setauker, was arrested Nov. 16 on charges of one misdemeanor count of driving while intoxicated - first offense. Police said Harris was driving a 2007 black Nissan eastbound on Veterans Highway at 75 mph in a 55 mph zone and was failing to stay within his lane. Upon being pulled over, officers determined Harris was intoxicated, according to police reports.
