3 Homes Damaged, Firefighter Injured In Hicksville House Fire: Police

HICKSVILLE, NY — A Nassau County firefighter was injured battling a house fire that damaged several homes in Hicksville on Saturday morning, according to police.
Nassau County police said fire crews responded to a fire at 17 Bunker Lane shortly after 8 a.m. When crews arrived, they found the entire house engulfed in flames. Two neighboring homes also sustained siding damage, police said.
The house's residents weren't home at the time of the fire, police said.

According to police, one firefighter suffered a minor burn to the head and was treated at the scene.
Police said the fire was caused by an electrical issue with the home's furnace. The house sustained structural, smoke, water and fire damage.
