HICKSVILLE, NY — A work van went up in flames on Thursday morning in Hicksville, authorities said.
The Hicksville Fire Department headed to Rim Lane on a report of a house fire at 8:09 a.m. Firefighters then found a work van belonging to All Pro Heating and Air Conditioning Company completely ablaze behind the building at 107 Stewart Ave. The multiple Freon tanks that were inside the van were also on fire. The van was up against the building, though the fire didn't spread into it.
The fire was extinguished, and no one was injured. The van and all of its contents were destroyed. Stewart Avenue was closed in both directions as emergency crews worked at the scene.
