UPDATED: Employee Shot During Huntington Station Gas Station Robbery
The incident occurred Monday night, police said.

Police are looking to identify an armed man who shot a gas station employee during a robbery in Huntington Station on Monday night.
According to authorities, a masked man approached an attendant at one of the gas pumps at USA Gas Station, located at 1290 New York Ave., and demanded cash at 9:45 p.m.

A confrontation ensued, which led to the robber shooting the employee in the leg.
The robber fled the scene on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.

Huntington Community First Aid Squad transported the employee to a local hospital by where he was treated for non life-threatening injuries.
Police Described the robber as black, approximately six feet tall, with a thin build.
Helicopters were spotted scanning the area for the suspect following the robbery.
The investigation is continuing, police said.
