A ribbon-cutting ceremony at the offices of Sign-A-Rama on Oakwood Road, just south of the railroad, helped mark the South Huntington company's 25th year of operations.

Billed as an anniversary celebration the well-attended event including a grand opening for the company's partnership as a New York agent for YESCO, which now operates in 22 states nationwide.

Siblings Dawn Tiritter-Bent and Mike Ziccardi have grown their small signmaking operation into an in-house design and fabrication operation that employs dozens, operates in a state-of-the-art 15,000-square foot facility, and provides one stop, turn key sign and graphics services to its regional clients.

That includes die cut vinyl graphics for windows and vehicles, custom designed and installed vehicle wraps, banners, trade show displays, engraved and embossed plaques, POP displays, political signs --from small magnetic, vinyl letters and vehicle wraps to over-sized store front installations and custom made pylons and monuments.

Sign-A-Rama has also made it a point to offer clients project management, permits, and maintenance. And the company has made an effort to be a good neighbor -- with such projects as their "Pay It Forward Program." On a monthly basis, a non-for-profit is chosen as an in-kind recipient of signage and banners. Recent recipients have been: The Marcie Mazzola Foundation, The Rose Brucia Foundation, Kiwanis of Huntington, The Townwide Fund of Huntington and the ALS Society of Greater New York.
