Parade Cheat Sheet: What You Need to Know For Saturday

 

Parade day is almost here and Patch has rounded up all the important stuff you need to know.  We’ve got start times, places to eat, drink or just hang out. Did we miss something? Let us know in the comment section.

Start Time

The parade kicks off at noon, Route 25a will close to traffic at 11 a.m. Parking for marchers will be at William T. Rogers Middle School on Old Dock Road.

According to organizers, transport buses will be available from RJO to the step off location from 9:30 am to 11:30 a.m. Step off place is the corner of Lou Avenue and Pulaski Road. The cutting of the parade ribbon will be done by Grand Marshal, Gerry Creighton.

Parade Route

The parade will begin at the corner of Lou Avenue and Pulaski Road and will proceed to Main Street, to Church Street, to Old Dock road and will end at William T. Rogers Middle School.

Awards

The St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee will give an award to the  Best Parade Float and a plaque for the storefront that shows off its Kings Park Pride and St. Patrick's Day best.
