Bridget 'Phyllis' Rodriguez, 81, Former Larchmont Resident
The following obituary is from the Greenwich Time and Legacy.com: 

Former long-time Larchmont resident Phyllis Rodriguez, 81, died on June 20th in her home in Greenwich, CT after a courageous battle with cancer. Phyllis was born Bridget Philomena Kyne on January 7, 1933 to Thomas Kyne and Kate Flynn in Galway, Ireland. She is predeceased by her husband Carlos Rodriguez to whom she married in 1976.

Phyllis is survived by her two brothers, Patrick Francis Kyne and Thomas Gabriel Kyne. Phyllis is also survived by her eight stepchildren, Carlos Rodriguez, Tim Rodriguez, Reggie Rodriguez, Thomas Rodriguez, Terry McKee, Mary Jo DiSesa, Robin Foote, Tracy Lynn, 20 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

For many years, Phyllis was very active in the Catholic church at the parishes Sts. John and Paul in Larchmont, NY and St. Mary's in Greenwich, CT.

Some of her other interests included playing golf as a member of Westchester Country Club, gardening, tai-chi and talking on the phone to her many friends and family. However her real love, devotion, time and energy went to her twenty grandchildren with whom she stayed up to date with on their current interests in music, movies, books, sports and their education as well as keeping up other family members including her Aunt Catherine until she passed away.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made in her name to  St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 24th from 4 to 8pm at Leo P. Gallagher & Son, 31 Arch St, Greenwich, CT. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 25th, 10 am at St. Mary's Church, 178 Greenwich Avenue, Greenwich, CT.
