Library Presentation Showcases African-American Quilts, Poetry

By Barbara Davis, New Rochelle Public Library.

The very talented and effervescent Robin Miller has mounted a terrific exhibit of her work in the New Rochelle Public Library’s Lumen Winter Gallery.

Rhythms of a Faithful Journey is comprised of stunning collage quilts chronicling the African-American experience.

An additional exhibit of illustrations from her book—A Humble Village—is delighting children and adults as they walk through the lobby!

Miller will present a lively, illustrated presentation in the Ossie Davis Theater this Sunday at 4 p.m.

A reception will follow the talk, a little after 5 p.m., after the library closes. Both Memorial Highway and Lawton Street doors will be open for reception attendees.

The New Rochelle Public Library is located at 1 Library Plz. in New Rochelle.
