There was no sign of trauma at the scene and the man's cause of death does not appear to be related to the weather, Ryder said. The man's body was transported to the Nassau County Medical Examiner’s Office where an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of his death.

“We believe that it may have been a medical emergency, but we will evaluate that as we get the results from the medical examiner’s office,” Ryder told reporters at a press briefing in Hicksville.
