Kimberly Jean-Pierre Wins State Assembly Seat
Democrat claims victory in 11th Assembly District race.
Democrat Kimberly Jean-Pierre has won the State Assembly race in the 11th District.
Jean-Pierre easily defeated Republican Mark Gallo by a margin of 11,161-6,426, according to unofficial results from the Suffolk Board of Elections.
Jean-Pierre will replace Assemb. Bob Sweeney, who is retiring after a 26-year tenure in the Assembly.
