Firefighters then responded to a second car fire less than 2 miles away at the Aldi supermarket on 81 Park Avenue at about 11:15 a.m.
Upon arrival members quickly knocked down the fire. No injuries were reported.

A fire department spokesperson said both fires were unrelated. The fires appeared to have been a result of the heat.
"Generally the heat exacerbates mechanical problems and with air conditioning over working the engines," the spokesperson told Patch.
