July 22: Welcome Parade, Happy Hour and Autism Speaks Benefit

It’s finally Friday in Long Beach! Looks like we have some sunny skies on tap for the next few days. Here are some activities you should watch out for:

+ Head over to one of the many happy hours tonight happening in Long Beach. The Saloon runs from 4 to 7 p.m. and has two for one drink specials. Over at The Inn, half priced drinks and $1 sliders reign supreme after 4 p.m.

+ Looking to listen to some live music tonight? Nick’s Tuscan Grill has a live act every Friday from 9 to 11 p.m. Call (516) 432-2690 for additional information.

+ Don’t forget – the Long Beach Waterfront Warriors 5K Race starts bright and early on Saturday at 8 a.m. Want to run? Register at active.com. On Sunday, the LBWW will be welcoming soldiers and their families to Long Beach with a parade. The festivities start at 3 p.m. and the event culminates with a barbecue at Long Beach Catholic Regional School.

+ Meet the author of Two World Order – Neil T. McCabe – Saturday at 4 p.m. to benefit Autism Speaks at Sutton Place. $5 from each book sold will be donated to the organization.
