Car Found On Fire At Bay Shore Auto Shop: FD

BAY SHORE, NY - A car was found on fire at a Bay Shore auto shop on Monday afternoon, according to the Islip Fire Department.

The blaze was reported at 12:30 p.m. at the Midas Auto Center 1743 Westbound Sunrise Highway Service Road on the corner of Penataquit Avenue.

The Bay Shore Fire Department responded and found a vehicle fire within the garage.

There was also a heavy smoke condition throughout the building.

Islip firefighters also responded to provide mutual aid.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was not yet determined.
