A recent study has found that Facebook use at work is falling, while Twitter use is on the rise.
According to a report from Palo Alto Networks, from November 2011 to May 2012, employees' use of Facebook while on the job fell from 54 percent of all socia media use to 37 percent. Twitter, on the other hand, rose from 11 percent to 21 percent.

The report's findings may confirm fears among some business owners who worry employees are increasingly wasting time on the Web. The study’s authors said that, based on the number of applications that appeared on each organization's network, "a large portion" of at-work social networking and video viewing appeared to be "for personal use."
Meanwhile, ComPsych — an employee assistance program provider based out of Chicago — recently polled workers about their biggest distraction while at their place of business. The largest distraction as per ComPsych's poll was "personal relationship issues" at 22 percent.
By contrast, just 4 percent of those surveyed said personal communications tools such as a mobile phone, email, instant messenger or social media were the top distraction at the workplace, the poll of 1,236 workers found.
