Malverne Girl Scouts to Showcase Gift Ideas at Street Fair

Looking for the perfect gift to bring to a neighbor, friend or loved one this holiday season?

Come to Malverne Merchants Street Fair on Sunday and visit OLL Junior Troop 2179 Mags and Munchies Booth Sale. The Girl Scouts in Malverne will be offering their Fall product selection of candies, nuts and magazines to the Malverne community.

The street fair will be held on Sunday, Oct. 20, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Church Street and in Community parking lot.

“These tasty treats are great for that hard to please person or as an extra little remembrance of a special person on your gift giving list.” said Lisa Cataldi, Co-Leader Troop 2179. “At the same time you are helping girl have a quality Girl Scout experience, it makes your gift count twice!”

Do you or your family members subscribe to magazines like Seventeen, Time, or Wall Street Journal? Now you can save money and help girls in Nassau County by ordering from Girl Scouts in your area.

“The magazine sales are a great way to generate funds for troops’ yearly activities as well as encourage reading among the community,” said Dawn Wladyka, Mags and Munchies Mom.

Nuts and candy will be delivered by mid-December, just in time for the holidays. Customers can order new subscriptions, renew current subscriptions, no matter when they expire, or order magazines as gifts from a great selection of more than 700 magazines.

Online Magazine Orders and renewals are immediate. The best part is that Troops receive 15 percent of the total of all sales, Cataldi said.
