Patch's 15th installment in the "" is to have a meal at .

has been a part of our Lynbrook history for about 90 years. It is situated in one of Lynbrook’s oldest buildings and is one of the oldest establishments in our village.

Hank Maier, who is the current owner, has been running this restaurant since purchasing it in 1966, when it was a saloon. Maier stated in a previous that he is seeing his third-generation of people come into his restaurant. He also stated that originally, was an apartment before it became a bar and restaurant in the early 1930s.

I have had the pleasure of eating at numerous times. My husband and I have been frequent flyers here for over 20 years. When you want a quiet dinner with your spouse or want to take the whole family out, you will find this restaurant is accommodating for both. From quiet romantic booths to family size tables in the back.

The restaurant has different specials every day, from corned beef and cabbage to leg of lamb, steaks, and pot roasts and to its ever-famous chicken pot pies and lobster tails. The Brick Café also has the juiciest hamburgers and my ultimate favorite, steak tidbits. I have never had better steak tidbits than at this restaurant. One of my other favorites from here is the baked clams.

If you’re a wine lover, you can sample more than a dozen different wines. Delicious soups and salads are also a part of the restaurant's famous menu.

Treat yourself or treat your family to an evening at and see for yourself why this restaurant is going strong for so many years.
