Assemblyman Brian Curran, a member of the Assembly Veterans' Affairs Committee, collected over 800 valentines for vets from elementary school children around the 21st Assembly District he represents.
School children gave those who put their lives on the line something memorable this Valentine's Day.
"It was tremendous to see the outpouring of support to our nation's warriors past and present," said Assemblyman Curran. "It was also touching to stand with veterans as they read some of the Valentine's Day card; they were so happy to read our children's loving and grateful messages," Curran added.
Valentines were distributed to the American Legion, VFW and other veteran organizations for distribution to those who served.
