Massapequa Crime Report: DWI and Assaults

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

DWI

On May 23, Jacqueline Knight, 22, of Babylon was arrested on Sunrise Highway near Lakeshore Boulevard, Massapequa Park and charged with driving while intoxicated and four violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

Assault

On May 26, An Amityville man assaulted a loss prevention officer at , at the Sunrise Mall, police said. Asim Henry, 22 allegedly punched the officer when he approached Henry shortly after 9:20 p.m. He was charged with assault 3.

On May 27, there was an assault at the at 975 North Broadway, police said. The victim was assaulted by two men who got into a vehicle and fled at about 12:50 a.m., according to police.

Stolen Vehicle

On May 22 a man who parked his car in the in Massapequa discovered it had been moved to another spot in the lot, police said.

Possession of Burglary Tools

On May 25, Yvette Campbell, 28 of North Bellmore was arrested at H&M, at theSunrise Mall, Massapequa and charged with petty larceny, possession of burglary tools and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle 2nd.

Grand Larceny

A woman reported jewelry missing from her residence on Division Avenue in Massapequa, police said.

Petty Larceny

On May 22, a Deer Park woman was arrested at at the  and charged with petty larceny.

On May 22, a Baldwin woman was arrested at at the Sunrise Mall, and charged with petty larceny.

On May 23, a Massapequa woman was arrested at ,  at the Sunrise Mall, Massapequa and charged with petty larceny.

On May 23, a Massapequa woman was arrested at at the Sunrise Mall, Massapequa and charged with petty larceny.

On May 24, an Amityville woman was arrested at Wal-Mart at the Sunrise Mall, Massapequa and charged with petty larceny.

On May 24, a North Babylon North Babylon was arrested at Wal-Mart, at the Sunrise Mal and charged with petty larceny.

On May 25, a Hicksville teen was arrested at Wal-Mart, at the Sunrise Mall, and charged with petty larceny.

On May 26, a Uniondale woman was arrested at Sears at the Sunrise Mall, Massapequa and charged with petty larceny.

On May 26, a Hicksville woman was arrested at Wal-Mart at the Sunrise Mall, and charged with petty larceny.

On May 26, a Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania  woman was arrested at Sears, at the Sunrise Mall and charged with petty larceny.

On May 26, a Copiague woman was arrested at Sears at the Sunrise Mall  and charged with petty larceny.

On May 26, a Lindenhurst woman was arrested at H&M, at the Sunrise Mall, and charged with two counts of petty larceny.

On May 26, a Hicksville woman was arrested at Wal-Mart at the Sunrise Mall and charged with petty larceny.

On May 28, an East Massapequa man was arrested at at the Sunrise Mall,  and charged with petty larceny.
