Pine Plains House Explosion Kills 1 Man
A woman was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
PINE PLAINS, NY — A house explosion in Pine Plains Wednesday killed one person and injured another.
The New York State Police said the explosion happened around 7:30 p.m. on Hoffman Street in the town of Pine Plains.
Kim Dunn, 62, was pulled from the wreckage by a neighbor and a firefighter, police said.

She was taken to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Police said Lawrence Pariseau, 61, was found dead in the remains of the building.

The Pine Plains Police Department and multiple local fire departments were on scene to render aid.
The Dutchess County Fire Investigation Division and the New York State Office of Fire Prevention and Control also responded to assist with the investigation, which remains ongoing.
