Power Outages in Poughkeepsie Central Business District Tuesday

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — Power outages are happening in the central business district of the City of Poughkeepsie due to an underground fire.

The outage areas include Church Street, Mill Street and Main Street, as well as the intersections of the two East/West corridors, twcnews.com said.

The fire started on Catharine Street.

Buildings that have closed due to the outages include the court house and the county office building, including the Department of Motor Vehicles, the Poughkeepsie Journal said. Traffic signals have also been affected.
