Police Athletic League's 44th Annual Superstar Dinner
Honors Former NYC Police Commissioner Robert J. McGuire and CEO of BBDO New York John Osborn

On September 13, 2016, the Police Athletic League hosted its 44th Annual Superstar Dinner honoring Robert J. McGuire, Former New York City Police Commissioner, and John B. Osborn, Chief Executive Officer, BBDO New York. Held at the Mandarin Oriental in Manhattan, the event welcomed over 300 guests and raised $1.25 million for the nonprofit. The event’s Honorary Chair was Maurice R. Greenberg; Bart M. Schwartz and Charles A. Stillman were Chairs of the event, along with Co-Chairs Frank A. Bennack, Jr., John A. Catsimatidis, and Judy and Fred Wilpon. Greg Kelly, Co-Host of Good Day New York, was the emcee.
Special guests included: Robert M. Morgenthau, PAL Chairman; William J. Bratton, PAL Honorary President/ NYC Police Commissioner; Chief James P. O’Neill, NYC Police Commissioner Designate; Tony Danza, PAL Board Member; Ray Kelly, Former NYC Police Commissioner; and Frederick J. Watts, PAL Executive Director.
New York City’s Police Athletic League is the first and finest civilian-run PAL in the country. Founded in 1914, PAL has served the city’s young people for over 100 years. PAL provides recreational, educational, cultural and social activities to 35,000 boys and girls annually. It is also the city’s largest, independent, nonprofit youth organization.
